MCB’S E-Class Cabriolet Has Just Dawned in India!
Posted on August 20th 2010Welcome back!

Remember, some posts earlier we have informed you on how the Mercedes Benz had its eye upon India to reap the impending fruits and also win the luxury car market from Audi and BMW in the same operating territory.
Yes, continuing their same strategy, Mercedes has just launched its ambitious vehicle, the new E-class cabriolet in India.
It’s a complete package for the Mercedes fans since the E-class offers a retractable roof top and offers a soothing experience to four people it fits in.
The E-Class Cabriolet heralds a new era of Open top motoring. With its launch, the versatility of the E-Class range is further reinforced; the E-Class now offers the Cabriolet in addition to already present the E-Class Saloon and the E-Class Coupe. The E-Class has seven offerings for the discerning customers who seek individuality, expression and dynamism through the cars they drive
The E-Class Cabriolet adds to our multi-faceted E-Class line-up making a lifestyle statement par excellence promising an engaging driving experience with the top on or off. Thanks to its classic soft top, the four-seater convertible delivers that unadulterated cabriolet feeling.
True to our motto “It’s about air stream and not main stream”, combines comfort, elegance and year-round usability with the premiere feature of the AIRCAP®. AIRCAP® is an automatic wind deflector that can be deployed at the touch of a button to significantly reduce turbulence in the vehicle’s interior.
Dr. Wilfried Aulbar, Managing Director, Mercedes Benz, India operations was quoted as saying.
Providing you a peep about the legacy of the model, the E-class model has always been in an instant hit in India just like another part of the world. It was the first ever vehicle to be rolled out from a plant in India in 1995.
Its bequest dates back long as the model is the most sought after luxury model in India with a huge sell out of 12, 700 units already and counting.
With such gracious records behind it, the company looks set to set all apprehensions right with other players like Audi and BMW.
It would be interesting to observe and report the various moves taken by the Mercedes’ rivals to answer the launch of its E-class Cabriolet.
