The Car Maruti Suzuki is definitely one of India’s oldest, reliable and hence most successful carmaker. When Maruti Wagon R was unveiled in a grand launch early this year, we saw the vehicle with a lot of upgrades and changes. The New Maruti Wagon R is an entirely new make with a new exterior design and a few engineering changes. If we compare the all new Wagon R with its predecessor we find the new Wagon R all the more contemporary and trendy and thus we have India’s most favorite family car having got even bigger, more spacious and more stylish. The new launch was so successful that Maruti Suzuki made pots of money from the sales of this ‘blue eyed boy’. The new Wagon R has been included in the Maruti Suzuki range of five vehicles in the briskly blooming A2 segment. Wagon R became so popular that now Maruti Suzuki rules a staggering over 56% in the A2 segment. The all new Wagon R comes with a K10B engine which has been a remarkable change. So far as the looks of the car are concerned, Wagon R is based on the new platform and comes in all new dimensions with an addition of 40mm to the wheel base and around 100mm to the overall length. Maruti has taken a lot of efforts on the designing part of the make which looks beautiful with its rounded looks. The same type of steering which was introduced in Swift has been put in the new Maruti Wagon R as well. The dashboard comes in a new central console and with integrated stereo AUX-In for iPod connectivity and larger circular control for the aircon. The wash and wipe of the rear and the front grille have been added to the vehicle. There are a few alterations in the headlights and bumpers as well. Here we go. Colors The all new Maruti Wagon R is available in 7 exciting color shades. So you have got a variety of options to choose from shades like Midnight Black, Silky Silver, Superior White, Bakers Chocolate, Fire Brick Red, Glistening Grey and Breeze Blue, I loved the Midnight Black most. The car to me looked so regal! Just awesome! Exteriors The all new Wagon R is here with its beautiful trendy exteriors that make it look even more robust, muscular and attractive. All in all, the looks of the car have been twisted and turned to make it an altogether modern vehicle. Today the customer needs style blended with advanced technology and good engine performance. All that glitters is gold now and let me tell you as the company claims the looks of the car have been a major turn on for the potential car buyer. I just love the curvier body of the car. The vehicle looks amazing with the chrome finish in the front. The moon rock silver roof rails add to the beauty of the make. Here follow some of the other important exterior features of the car.
 Interiors If the exteriors of the Wagon R are killing, the interiors are quite complementary to the exteriors. The dual tone finishing, the Chrome accentuated instrument panel and the silver finish inside the door handles together make the interiors of the car all the more attractive and contemporary. Performance Maruti Wagon R LX DUO BSIII is equipped with 1.1L 57.5bhp 4 cyl. in-line, FC in line engine with four cylinders. There are four valves fitted for each cylinder inside. The engine comes with the displacement of 1061 cc. There is no turbo charger or the super charger. The car equipped with this kind of an engine can churn out the maximum power of 57.5 PS at 6000 rpm and as regards the maximum torque you have here 7.8 kgm at 4,500 rpm. The engine comes with a five speed manual transmission gearbox. This is an LPG version and the fuel tank capacity of the vehicle 22kg which is pretty good. The car gives a good average of 14 kmpl on the urban roads while on the highways you get the average 17 kmpl. The car complies with all the BS III emission norms. Overview If we look at the engine performance, the exterior and the interior looks and the other prominent features incorporated in Maruti Wagon R LX DUO BSIII, I think this is a good family car. This is a five door hatchback where five passengers can happily fit in. The New Delhi Ex-Showroom price of the car is Rs.3,28,930 and I must say this is a good value for money. Well cons there certainly are. I guess poor rear visibility and lack of width of the backseat can be listed down as the major ones. Moreover, the gear shift of this make takes just a bit longer to get used to; but on the whole, Maruti Wagon R LX DUO BSIII is a great deal for your family. I agree that the design structure wise Wagon R is not that attractive when compared to rest models of Maruti, but surely an all purpose spacious family car. But in case of style Swift will be in the first row.
