Maruti to Launch CNG-Variants of Cars in India

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is planning to introduce CNG-variants of cars in Indian market.
Alternative fuel technology is the future. We will be looking at CNG variants of our vehicles.
- MR. Singh (Managing Executive Officer (production), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd) said on sidelines of CII seventh Manufacturing Summit 2008.
Increasing fuel prices have forced each car manufacturer to bring alternative fuel choice cars in market. There has been growing in demand for such models in markets.
With prices of oil and other commodities rising, the chances of them reverting to their lower prices are improbable. Small cars are the future. Here’s an opportunity for Suzuki Motor Corporation to leverage its expertise in manufacturing smaller cars economically.

Maruti is also set to introduce its next gen model ‘Maruti A Star‘ in November. It will unveil in India afterward followed by unveil in Europe. The latest A Star is Euro-5 complaint and is powered by next generation K-series engine. It will allow Suzuki to re-enter European market with the new energy.

This one is a good plan from Maruti Suzuki. With the increasing fuel prices look for alternatives and Maruti understands consumers choice and acts according to that.
