Maruti to Add ‘DZire’ in Midsize Car Segment

Maruti Suzuki is set to unveil its much-awaited sedan ‘Swift DZire‘ on 26th March that will be available in diesel and petrol options.

Still the company officials did not disclose the car price, it is probably to be priced less than the present sedan ‘SX4‘ unveiled last year. But according to the experts, the diesel version would be available for Rs 5.50 + lakh and petrol version would be priced in the range 0f Rs 4.50 lakh to 5 lakh.
‘Swift DZire’ is specially made for Indian market, arrives in as Suzuki tries a new advanced line-up for Indian market and makes changes to previous ten years old models.
The image of a hatchback and styling of Swift is carried forward to the sedan. The DZire project, which started in 2005, is a planned progression of the Swift hatchback. The new vehicle has been designed and conceptualized at about Rs.30 crore.

The anticipation is over. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. made a country-wide launch of the Swift Sedan christened Dzire at noon today. The Dzire project was started in 2005 as an advanced version of the Swift hatchback.
Available in three petrol variants and two diesel variants, it will carry the same āgā series engine as the Swift.
