Maruti Suzuki to Introduce CNG, Electric Versions of Its Models

Maruti Suzuki has begun implementation of its plan its plan to build mini cars powered by option fuels. Currently, the company is making an electric car technology. This may use five years to be achieved and reached in domestic market.
Mr. Bhargava (Chairman, Maruti Suzuki) said that few versions have been recognized for CNG utilization, even if the CNG equipments are pretty expensive. He also added that these new versions will be available in 2010-11.
The 54.2% stakeholder in Maruti Suzuki - Suzuki Motor Co. is already included in optional fuel research and also has finished some major work in a fuel cell technology field along with the US based GM.

As more companies come out with small cars, the competition is getting stiff. Doing something out of the ordinary will help Maruti Suzuk maintain its edge.
