Maruti Suzuki Sales Up 5.27% in Sept’08

Maruti Suzuki has recorded 5.27 percent growth in total sales in September’08. It sold 71K units, compared with 67,448 units in a same month last year.
Industry’s domestic sales set at 64,682 units in September’08, against 63,086 units in same month last year, growth 2.53%. Maruti’s exports raised 44.84 percent in Sept’08, at 6318 units, compared with 4362 units in a same month last year.
M800’s sales decreased by 33.6 percent Sept’08, at 3467 units, compared with 5221 units in Sept’07. A2 segment including Zen Estilo, Alto, Swift and Wagon R sales placed at 45621 units in a month of Sept’08, compared with 46216 units in a Sept’07, a fall down by 1.29 percent.
The company recorded increase of 51.75 percent in A3 segment (including Esteem, Swift Dzire & SX4) at 7413 cars in Sept’08, compared with 4885 cars in a same month year ago.

The car manufacturer is making good sales specially the demand for its entry sedan Swift Dzire is so much that buyers are waiting from months to get the car. There is an increased demand for Maruti Suzuki Cars.
