Maruti Ritz Got Approval by ICAT for India

Maruti Suzuki’s awaiting car model ‘Ritz’ is approved by International Centre of Automotive Technology (ICAT) in the test ceremony, organized in Manesar. ICAT is the division of the National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRiP). NATRiP is the JV of Central Government, some state government and Auto Industry of India.
Currently, ICAT is investing 440 cr in growing its facilities at the added region of 46 acres in Manesar. These new facilities will incorporate powertrain lab, emission lab with Euro V facility, engine dynamometers, passive safety lab, fatigue lab and test tracks for vehicle.
The Maruti Ritz is placed between A-Star & Swift. The Ritz will be offered as the ‘Suzuki Splash’ in other countries. The Ritz will be available with new KB-series engine in 2 options – 1.2-liter petrol option and 1.3-liter CRDi diesel option.

Well this car is already running successfully in Europian Market by the name of “Splash” and this Hatchback in launching in India by tghe second week of May and is coming with all new K-12 Engine..The K12M is essentially a 1197cc petrol engine that is capable of putting out 85 PS of power at 6000rpm in its current state of tune. Torque figures stand at 113Nm @ 4500rpm - which should make the Ritz a sprightly performer..The K12M is also BS-IV compliant - which will make the Ritz the first ever passenger car in India to adhere to the new pollution norm …Im just waiting for this baby to launch :0)… Ihave got a lot of information on Ritz in case anyone need just click on…payalraheja.wordpress.com/
