Posted on November 2nd 2008Welcome back!
M&M have declared that they will launch the entirely new XYLO (pronounced Zy-lo) in a current quarter. The XYLO is a brand name for project Ingenio developed in-house after the great success of Scorpio.
We are all set to create a new milestone with the launch of the Mahindra XYLO, which will continue Mahindra’s legacy of customer-centric innovation. I am confident that the XYLO will follow in the Scorpio’s footsteps and evolve into an iconic brand.
- Mr. Anand Mahindra (Vice-Chairman and MD, Mahindra Group).
The XYLO has been developed by a project team consisting of 160 experts who have created new benchmarks in terms of styling, technology and performance. The Mahindra XYLO, extensively tested and validated for real world usage in India and many other countries, is sure to delight the customer.

Good to know that M&M is adding more and more models to its product line. M&M first step in the indian car market with with its Scorpio and now the product line is expanded. the latest upcoming Xylo from the MPV segment will definitely boost up the Mahindra Sales.

Mahindra SCORPIO is the perfect vehicle for Indian conditions. You can own the roads when have a Scorpio on your hands. I have the same expectations with Xylo. Mahindra makes vehicles which deliver full value for what its worth and at 650,000 INR, I believe the Xylo will be a real steal. I have recently seen the sneak peek shots of the vehicle. Looks plush!!!!!!

Hey murtaza. The website is good. But I have heard some rave reviews about the looks of the car. What do you have to say about that?

Yeah even I have heard the reviews but these are just speculations. Personally, I am a great fan of Scorpio and Xylo is the new car so we can expect improvisation on looks and performance. I think the review about the looks are rising because Xylo dosen’t have the smooth looks of a car like Innova. It is a multi purpose vehicle so it is bound to have the big and tough look.

Mahindra is starting to get into the chinese and american market also. Launching Xylo in the recession period is a strong move. Hope Xylo is as successful as Scorpio.

@Govind: Mahindra is the leading auto manufacturer. I don’t think Mahindra will have any kind of financial trouble to pull off a launch of a car anytime.

The International Motor Show held at the Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai had a star attraction; the Mahindra Xylo. And for the four days of the event (15th to 18th January, 2009), this car was clearly the showstopper. Those who attended will tell you that the Xylo stall was undoubtedly the most crowded one. And the various contests being promoted only increased the buzz. But most importantly, the audience was allowed to test drive the car right at the event – something that no other stall was offering. Scores of people were queuing up to experience firsthand what the Xylo had to offer. And by the end of four days, there were hundreds of bookings for the car. Needless to say, Xylo stole the show!

As the Xylo starts from 6.2 lakhs,no doubts it will be value for money,no other automakers can offer a CRDe vehicle in this price range an even the vehicle tested in HELL
Era of sedan over now the xylo season coming…….

Check this out guys Mahindra sold 1778 Xylo’s in just two weeks. No wonder that I spotted at least 12 Xylo’s in the last 3 days. I guess Mahindra is lucky to have hit the jackpot with Xylo. I really didn’t think it would sell so much
