Luminous to Launch Electric Scooter ‘Lectrix’ Next Month

Luminous Power Techs, the Power Storage maker, will be unveiling their e-scooter ‘Lectrix’ next month and targets to sell approx. 23K scooters by a next year.
Mr. Rakesh Malhotra (Founder and CEO of the company) said that company already has finished test-runs of e-scooter, research for which took around 2-years.
The scooter will launch in November’08. HE said that the scooter will be priced between Rs. 22K and Rs. 35K. The Luminous is intending to launch around 50 special showrooms this year (36 are already completed).
Presently, we would be focusing our business in North India only. Most of the outlets are opening next month and they are located in all major cities in North India like Delhi and also in smaller cities like Hisar, Karnal and Meerut.

The electric scooter would be made in their factory at Gagret, Himachal Pradesh. The plant has a production capacity around 3K units/month.
Luminous had previously declared their plans to foray into telecom segment this year by supplying the back-end answers to different operators.
The aim is to provide telecom infrastructure as a turn-key solution. Besides, we will also provide indigenously developed batteries to operators with an aim to reduce diesel consumption.

Currently, the company is making Rs. 200 crore factory in a Himachal Pradesh for it and supposes to be finished by June’09.
By this, the company intends to get revenue of approximately Rs. 1800 to 2000 crore by next financial year.

der sir, i visited ur website for lextic electric bike,
i acknowledge that product through IPL.
i want to know how much it will cost for a single unit scooty to buy, ,
in the written column, i saw, Rs 22K , i dont understand , is it 22 lac?
so i want to know he price,
another thing, i want to know that, so u have any option to export this scooty to indias relative coutry like pakistan, bangladesh, nepal, bhutan, basically south asia,
i m from bangladesh, i want to but it also, so ,please give me som einformation,
