Low sales numbers insisted Mercedes-Benz to end the Maybach brand

Daimler-Benz acquired Maybach uber luxury brand in the year 1960. Due to the Mercedes Benz’s failure to acquire Bentley and Rolls Royce’s best car brands, it was decided by Mercedes to launch a new car, which can compete the established uber luxury carmakers. The output was the launching of Maybach 57 and 62 cars. Both of these cars were developed as luxurious limousines. Both of these cars were loaded with plenty of features. Both of these models had the option to have S letter later attached to their names. The S variants were introduced with twin turbocharged V12 engine of AMG.

It is known to everybody that luxury Maybach is one of the best cars and does rivalry to cars that are made by Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Someway, the brand Maybach was not able to capture the impression of Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Furthermore, Maybach brand has recorded low sales numbers around the whole world. Previous year, Maybach recorded sales of only 200 cars, consequently Mercedes decided to close its underperforming uber luxury brand instead of taking constant losses. It has been confirmed by Mercedes-Benz that they will continue producing of Maybach brand 57 and 62 in the year 2012 based on 5th generation S-Class.

However, both the models of Maybach brand will end in the year 2013 and wonderful S-Class with six different models will rival with the Maybach brand. It is obvious that this new S-Class will surely provide a model or lines of the Maybach brand.
