Leap scooter revealed at Auto Expo 2012 by Hero MotoCorp

Hero’s plans for the future are clear since they show a concept, which is going to turn to reality and probably dominate its class. Recently, Hero revealed hybrid concept scooter called the Leap at the 2012 Auto Expo. A more potent battery is fixed in the Leap to power its electric motor. This recently revealed hybrid scooter is an advanced scooter, which works on both petrol as well as electricity. It is a good going on the side of the company since the prices of petrol are not decreasing. The Leap incorporates youthful styling as well as new technology, which none has seen before.

The prices of petrol are increasing day by day. Presently, Hero is taking things very seriously about the scooter since it has applied for nine international design registrations and three international technology patents.

Furthermore, the newly revealed scooter has smart design and it looks purposeful enough. It has long telescopic forks and disc brakes up front. It also displays best handling too.

Unveiling the Concept scooter here today, Mr. Pawan Munjal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp, said, “As its name signifies, the ‘Leap’ is indeed a leap in terms of advanced technology not just for us but also for the Indian two-wheeler industry in general. For us, it is indeed a ‘Leap’ into future in terms of our ability to bring technologically superior products in keeping with international standards. Although this is currently at a concept stage, we intend to take it forward to be able to produce it commercially in the near future.”

At Auto Expo, Hero Motors named 110cc masculine scooter - maestro, a new 125 cc bike - igniter and 110cc-Passion X Pro have launched three new models.
