Jaguar with its face-lifted version of Jaguar XF

One of the biggest premium car manufacturers in the world, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has a new saloon car available for the car enthusiasts in India. JLR is a British automobile company owned by the Indian auto giant, Tata Motors and has launched an upgraded or a face-lifted version of the popular Jaguar creations, the Jaguar XF. The new Jaguar XF will be seen with a series of changes in its interiors and exteriors.

The changes only seem to have made to enhance the style quotient of the vehicle as engine remains the same as the older versions for both petrol and diesel. The face-lifted XF continues with a 3.0 litre V6 diesel at 274bhp and the 5.0 litre V8 petrol at 380 bhp. Slit eyes and a fancy new nose (similar to XJ model) are the two new significant changes made in the front exteriors and the tail is revised too. Jaguar also has plans with a new 4 cylinder 2.2 litre diesel engine which is made keeping in mind the luxury car buyers, concerned with the fuel economy. With 188bhp to offer, the performance could be satisfactory and more efficient than a 3-litre V6 diesel. The interiors in the new version are more or less the same with moderate changes.

When it comes to the price of these revamped models of Jaguar XF, the on-road Mumbai price of the 3.0 litre diesel is said to be Rs 64.22 lakh, making it costlier by slightly over a lakh and the 5.0 litre petrol at Rs 81.88 lakh which means another 3 lakhs for the face-lifted version.

The preview of the face-lifted Jaguar XF was held in April 2011 at the New York International Auto Show. The new version of the XF model will be rolled out in XF sports, XF diesel and XF petrol in India. Car enthusiasts in India must be thrilled with this news as they were eagerly waiting since the news of its preview at the NY International Auto Show.
