India’s First BS-IV Certified Premium SUV - ‘Mitsubishi Outlander’

HM Mitsubishi Outlander is the first BS-IV certified premium SUV in India to be awarded by ARAI (Automobile Research Association of India). On May 30,2009, the Mitsubishi Outlander received the “AAEN0339″ certificate.
To maintain a check on the pollution conditions, government has to bring in some stringent rules & regulations. Indian Government introduces their Bharat Stage - IV (BS-IV) emission norms including stricter rules & regulations to control pollution happened due to the Auto emissions.
To help a future environment, the government also has decided to make compulsion on all new vehicles sold in the country from the month of April 2010 to follow the BS-IV emission norms. The rule will be implemented in eleven cities : Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kanpur, Surat and Agra.
The Mitsubishi Outlander was introduced in October’08 in India. It is available at Rs. 20.75 lakhs (ex-showroom).

It is necessary for the government to initiate the stricter emission norms. Many car manufacturers earlier did not give importance and the result was pollution.
