Indian Auto Sales in June 2009

According to SIAM, car sales for June 2009 have increased by 7.8% in the Indian market. The main contributing factor is the reduced interest rates for the auto loans.
As stated by the SIAM, 1,07,531 units were sold in a month of June’09 against compared to 99,741 units sold in the same period last year.
Passenger vehicles sales grew by 3.81% in April-June 2009 as compared to the same period in last year sales. Passenger cars sales increased by 4.75%, Utility vehicles sales dropped by 6.90% and MUV sales increased by 19.05% in June 2009.
