Volkswagen, the world’s number one company in automobile manufacturing is planning to go bigger in the US. Volkswagen would now really like to stay at the number one position and in order to do that, Volkswagen is keeping its sales figures in constant rise. Also, production has been increased not only in the U.S but throughout other countries where VW is quite a big player. Also, the Volkswagen Beetle, from the day of its launch has received quite an outstanding opening. The attractive and vibrant new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle is all set to make it big yet again, and according to reports the company is expected to sell as many as 50 thousand to 60 thousand units per year in the United States. The car will be launched during this fall. This level in the sales will be a big development over the latter years of the outgoing model.
With the old model of the Volkswagen Beetle, the sales figures dwindled to just 15 thousand a year, but having said this, it remains lower than the record figure of 83 thousand achieved in just 18 months after the launch of the revised variant of the Beetle.”We think we can recapture plenty of sales with the new model,” says Mark Barnes, boss of VW North America. Expansion plans are everywhere in the automobile sector and Volkswagen does not want to be left behind in this crucial race. This is why the company is looking forward to manufacture more and more number of vehicles this time around.VW is in the midst of a major expansion in the United States of America and is opening a new production setup to build the Passat, in U.S itself. The VW Beetle will help boost the company’s image, similarly as it did in the year 1998, when the New Beetle was first launched.
The new VW Beetle would offer a wider range of three engines viz. a 2.5-liter five-cylinder, a 2.0-liter TDi and a 2.0T, which will definitely help to spread the appeal to the masses in northern America.VW has made some adaptations in the design and has dropped the cutesy dashboard-mounted vase and instead the designers have added in two nice looking attractive interior-design features. One is a body-colored dashboard and secondly an upward-hinging glove box door. The designers have dealt with this very nicely, as the latter is a smart dip to the original variant.A soft-top VW Beetle will arrive soon after the launch in summer 2012. This is a much smaller delay than that was seen due to the outgoing of VW Cabrio. All these changes will definitely profit the German automobile giant and also make sure, that we shall get something newer and better from VW in the days to come.
Volkswagen thus, will revise things a little bit, and make better plans so that the company can again claim to be the top manufacturer and also gain huge popularity with its historic and iconic design ‘The Beetle’.
