The all new revised Verna from Hyundai which had been launched on the 11 May, 2011 has already over 5,000 bookings in its bag (pan India). Mr. H. W. Park, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Hyundai Motors India Limited, said, “It is a matter of great pride for us to have received such an encouraging response for our recently launched sedan - the new Fluidic Verna. The Verna has many first-in-segment features and our customers have received the new Verna with unparalleled enthusiasm.”

Both the petrol and the diesel motors having the capacity of 1.4 L and 1.6 L are imbibed with a 4 speed automatic transmission while a manual transmission gear box option is also available with all the 4 engine options. The 1.4 litre petrol engine swears on a mileage of around 17.43kmpl according to the ARAI figures while a 1.4 litre diesel version promises an efficient 23.5kmpl.

The new Hyundai Verna with its fluidic design is available in 10 trims and colors. The Hyundai Verna is currently being sold at an introductory price of Rs 699,000 - Rs 10, 74,500 (INR) (ex-Showroom, New Delhi) to attract other customers of other cars in this segment.  And moreover the deliveries of this new revised Fluidic Hyundai Verna have even started across all the states in India.All this is because the new design and its very flowing and aerodynamic styling. The earlier Verna was disliked by many though the performance was brilliant. But this time around Hyundai Motors, have made it sure that it would really mean business and go head to head with the likes of Fiat Linea, Honda City, Maruti Suzuki SX4 and other cars in the mid sized luxury sedan segment. As all these cars are placed somewhere between 8 to 10 lakhs (INR), it is really a good strategy from Hyundai to get more buyers attracted to its base version which starts at price of 7 lakhs.
