Santro is one such excellent small segment launched by Hyundai, few years back. The Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan being the brand ambassador, the car grabbed substantial popularity and market sale.

The new Hyundai Santro Xing GLS is powered by a 1086 CC, LPG engine. The engine delivers a max power of 63 Bhp @ 5500 rpm, which is quite good and capable of attaining a max speed of 141 km/h. However the max torque is 9.8 kg-m @ 3000 rpm which comparatively seems less.

Apart from the engine performance, the hatchback attracts you through its new stylish look offered by the special body-colored molding attached at its waistline. The front end is decorated with The ‘H’ logo fitted on the radiator grille and the detachable bumpers. The car has got alloy wheels. The peculiarity in GLS variant is that the wheels are covered completely. This full wheel cover gives the car a more compact and trendy appearance.

The suspension systems are standard. The front suspension is a Mc Pherson strut with coil spring and the rear suspension is a torsion beam axle with coil spring. The suspension along with the new aero dynamical design offers greater stability to the car. Another feature that supports aerodynamic stability of the car is a trend setter, known as rear spoiler. The new avatar of Hyundai Santro, powered by a LPG eRLX engine is surely nice performance advancement, in the base model Santro. The GLX LPG variant, which we are talking about, costs near to 4 lakh and is perfectly worth paying the price.
