Hyundai Motors Sales Up in November on Export

Hyundai Motors has reported 49% rise in its car sales in Nov 2008, as compared to year 2007, because of high exports.
Company’s total sales increased to 43,105 units in November as compared to 28,950 units sold in same month last year, with an export rising to 28,500 units, according to company.
However, in India, the sales figures looked negative and recorded 23.3% fall to a 14,605 units in a Nov 2008. Hyundai Motors India is the India’s one of the leading car makers by sales.
According to Mr. Arvind Saxena (Sr. vice-president (marketing & sales), the steps in showroom across the country have collapsed and it’s becoming ever more tough to maintain sales ticking.

It is nice to hear some positive news about the car industry.The global recession has taken the market to a slow growth. It is the Hyundai export that has pushed its sales. But the car market in India for Hyundai is still low.
