Hyundai Motors Raised Plant Capacity

Hyundai Motor India, the Korean car manufacture, said that it has raised production at their plant in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai by 40% mostly to meet with the demand of i10 model.

The facility, which initiated operations in a February and is mainly dedicated to making of the i10, will begin its 3rd shift thereby increasing daily production to 1300 cars from 800 cars at present.
The i10 has been breaking all grounds in terms of demand, within the country as well as in the export market. The introduction of the new shift will make us meet those demands and help us capture a bigger share of the market.

The hike in production will assist the industry spread their export destinations to 95 countries by 2008-end.

Hyundai has hit the Indian market with its i10. The demand for the hatchback is increasing speedily and Hyundai is set to expand its production capacity.
