| Hyundai has been launching small cars in the Indian car market for a long time and is filling the barrier between the car price and offered features, day-by-day, with each new launch. This in turn, is resulting in raising their popularity and sale. Hyundai launched Santro few years back. There was not much boom in the Indian car market at that time; however it received much appreciation with its feature richness. That’s how it built competition for Maruti, the acclaimed brand in India for small segments.
Now Hyundai has come with Hyundai Getz Prime, in four variants. This article writes about Hyundai Getz Prime 1.1, GVS option. ![]() Highlighting Features : ![]() Below is the list statistics, providing all necessary specifications and details. General statistics -
Comments - The exterior, as mentioned above, is designed in European style. The dimensions of the car give a mid-sized feel. The bumper is detachable and inserts moldings that add up to stylish looks of the car. It also protects from scratches and can be easily replaced. ![]() The headlamp, elongated and fitted at the bonnet curvature, assures clear focus and also proves to be another appearance intergradient for the car. Along with the headlamps, the hatchback is provided with front fog lamps, which functions both, to assist with inclement weather and give the car a sporty look. The round bumper inserted fog lamps assist not only in better visibility especially during inclement weather but also accentuate a sporty look. ![]() Another prominently noticeable object at the front is the nicely designed grille with italicized “H”, the company’s logo. The rear side is provided with a door, and has been given a little tinted shape. The rear combination lamps are shaped to attract visibility and integrated to work harmoniously. The safety measures are quite emphasized in Getz Prime. The standard front disc, rear drum brake system is fitted. Also the front wheel disc brakes are accompanied by the new antilock braking system (ABS), for better control and improved security. The other important engine control, clutch, is provided with a clutch lock that disallows ignition of engine until one presses the clutch. This helps in avoiding ignition jerks. The 3 nozzle washer jet splashes water over the windscreen with enough spread. The variable intermittent wiper offers control over the speed of the wiper, ensuring absolute cleaning of the windscreen. ![]() Other comfort features include the heating and Air conditioning, which works effectively and keeps the interior in pleasant conditions as you want it be. The identity feature of course, is the double folding 60: 40 Split rear seat backrest. Getz Prime is only car in its segment which offers this feature. ![]()
