Honda to Launch Jazz by June 2009

Honda will launch its B+ segment challenger, the ‘Jazz’ in a coming June. The company has also rolled out V6 version of its Accord with 3.5L iVTEC engine which generates 275 bhp @ 6200 rpm and 339 Nm of torque @ 5000 rpm. The new V6 Accord is priced in a range of Rs. 24.8 lacs to Rs. 25.35 lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Honda Jazz will be manufactured at company’s Noida plant and is likely to have the localization content of 70 percent from first day. The company needs to cost the Jazz more competitively which is why they are taking its time in raising the localization level previous to its launch.
The Honda Jazz shares platform with Honda City and will available powered by 1.2L i-Vtec engine expecting to deliver a decent performance & excellent fuel efficiency.
The Jazz may be priced between Rs. 5.5 lacs and Rs. 6.5 lacs.
