Honda Rolls Out 125cc CBF Stunner

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) on yesterday launched its latest 125cc sport bike. The company aiming to sell 10-lakh units in the country. The bike is priced between Rs 47070 & Rs 51655 at ex-showroom in Delhi.

With its high-on-style features, the new bike promises to provide its customers an ultimate experience of a true Honda bike. The new bike is a reflection of Honda’s worldwide sports bikes. In India, we will continue to bring exciting products and be a full line company by 2010 starting with 100cc motorcycles and fun bikes.

We plan to achieve a sale of one million units in the current fiscal and the launch of this new bike will help us in materialising this target. We plan to sell 80,000 units of the new bike, CBF Stunner, in this fiscal.

HMSI had recorded sales of 9.07 lac units in the earlier fiscal. In the current year, they targets to sell 3 lakh bikes and 7 lakh scooters.
Currently, our production capacity is of 1.2 million units, but it can be stretched up to 1.35 million units. So we can avail of this facility for the next 2-3 years. As of now, we do not have any plans to set up a new facility.

The company would launch 2-new models this year.
We hope to introduce our 800cc category superbike next year that will be priced above Rs. 10 lakh. The company will import these high performance bikes as a completely built unit. We also hope to see our market share going up from the current 11 per cent to 15
per cent by 2010.
