News is that the much reputed Honda Company is calling its VFR1200F engines back to its manufacturing plants. It’s shocking that even Honda is vulnerable to such difficult circumstances.

Apparently, Honda thinks that the engines might have to be recalled due to some technical drawbacks. Manufacturers believe that there might be minute metal shavings in the engine’s basic body which possibly might lead to an engine failure or substandard performance from the engines.Customers apparently are dissatisfied with the engines leading to a distinct noise.This lead to a detailed investigation by the Honda engineers, who after checking and testing the engine came upon a conclusion, that there were parts of aluminum shavings seen in some of the engines. Most of those engines are seen to be defective while being manufactured in a specific time period. Around 392 bikes have the defect.Actually, if this problem wouldn’t have been surfaced, by the users the defects would have lead to a worst aftereffect; an engine seizure.Honda on the other hand, is taking utmost care of its reputation as it is contacting all the customers having bikes with the imperfect engines. These engines will go for an inspection for minute shavings in the engines. If the inspected engines contain the shavings they would be replace it by another engine assembly. But if they do not come across any defects the bikes would be sent to their respective customers.After this episode, Honda readily apologized to all it’s customers for the trouble they had to face because of the defected engines. Honda’s reputation is at stake after this incident, and all of us would really hope that Honda lives up to its standards, which they certainly have for a long time now.
