The car The Honda Accord 2.4 is the basic variant available in Accord line up. The car is draped with basic features which provide excellent drive feel. The Honda Accord 2.4 is decent and has low type styling, driving the car is simply superb and delivers the right type of acceleration and top end speed. The 2.4 liter speed is up to the mark, you get a hint of speed and fuel economy in this version of Honda Accord. As said this is the basic variant there is an option available which can be selected according to your requirements, you can go for an automatic transmission version or a manual one. In automatic transmission gears are handed by onboard computer. You do get to switch to manual type setup with a click of a button. In the manual transmission there is no option available but the onboard computer gives you a chance to hold the car and red line it all the way till you are satisfied. Apart from transmission setup the car is designed for luxury and speed. Fuel economy is decent as expected from a 2.4 liter engine. Luxury is one segment where you can literally get spoiled in every journey you have spent in Accord. The Honda Accord 2.4 is specially designed for business class people who need to travel for work. Relaxation and drive experience is simply superb and out of the box, you can feel the car when your body rests on the seats provided. The interior setup is designed in an ergonomic manner. Honda has ensured to give luxury as a prime feature in the Honda Accord 2.4. The car is available in 4 vibrant colors that can be selected according to your choice, it is covered in Crystal Pearl Black, Taffeta White, Bold Beige Metallic, Alabaster Silver. One of the striking features in the Honda Accord 2.4 is the maintenance part. Well, being a business class car the Honda Accord 2.4 does have some maintenance issues but is all taken care by Honda. 6 speed gear box is given which is in manual setup, paddle shifters are available but at an extra cost. Paddle shift gears helps a lot in red lining and delivering superb drive feel. ABS and air bags are available in the stock variant too, Honda has given these features just to increase the safety feature of the car. The Honda Accord 2.4 reaches from north to 100 kmph speed under 11.8 seconds which is quite decent. Red line the car and you will be traveling at 223 kmph speed which is out of the box. This review would have been more interesting had there been any attraction in the looks of the car but there aren’t any. Honda designing team ensured the car needs to be low styled and should have the best performance in an inline engine. Looks of the car The interior section is one of the main attractions which deliver superb comfort. Beige colored interior panels are given which looks quite professional. Front end cup holder is given which helps a lot if you have missed the coffee. Rear seats are also equipped with cup holders. Outside temperature gauge shows how the external environment is like when driving in an Accord. Lumber support is given for front navigator and driver seats.  The exterior section is also designed according to safety of passengers and driver. Body colored bumpers is given which look simply superb and out of the box, they give the Accord a bold look. Speed dependant steering console is given which ensures high end handling when the speed of the car is above 100 kmph speed mark. ABS system is installed in the 2.4 liter car. Performance of the car This is the section where the car performs. Red line the car and it eases up 200 plus speed. The engine is designed according to race setup, the engine is quite refined when it comes to performance. Value of the car Fuel mileage is less as the 2.4 liter engine drinks a lot of petrol. 7 km to the liter are given when driven in city mode, on the highway the car manages to deliver 9 km to the liter. Technically the car does deliver one of the preferred high end speeds. Verdict Go for it as it is the best buy available in luxury segment. Driving the Accord is one of a type experience.
