The pictures of Honda Brio Sedan have gone viral over the Internet. It is scheduled to be launched in Thailand in November, 2012. The pictures reveal that the Brio sedan is similar to its Hatchback variant and measures less than 4 meter length. Another interesting fact about this sedan would be that it comes with a 1.2-litre i-DTEC diesel engine as compared to the other petrol – only automobile variants of Honda in India.
The diesel engine produces 88 BHP of power at 6000 RPM and 109 Nm of torque at 4600 RPM same as its hatchback variant.
With petrol prices sky-rocketing, Indians are obsessed with more fuel efficient engines at lower costs. From Honda, Brio sedan will be the first in diesel segment in India, and may take their inventory to another level and give other same segment competitors a sound fight such as Suzuki Swift Dezire, Tata Indigo, Volks Wagon Vento, Skoda Rapid, and Ford Fiesta.
The images also imply that the design of the sedan is influenced by its City variant. It comes with an additional boot – space of 400 cubic centimeters. The sedan is expected to be moderately priced at INR 6,00,000 and is expected to hit Indian roads in March, 2013.
