Honda 800cc Bike in March 2009

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) will launch the 800cc motorbike by the end of this fiscal year.
President and Chief Executive of HMSI, Mr. S. Aoyama said that 800cc bike would be one of the two models planned for launch later this year, and other would be a motorcycle or a scooter.
When we introduced motorcycles in India, we started with smaller engine sizes to cater to the masses. We have been exploring launching bigger motorcycles and this year an 800cc bike will be launched for the Indian market. The 800cc bike will be imported from the parent company.

HMSI is a fully owned subsidiary of the Honda Motor Co. that created its debut in Indian market with the introduction of its Active scooter in 2000. Previously it had marked its existence in India through joint ventures with Honda Siel Cars, Hero Honda, and Kinetic Honda Co.
