Hindustan Motors to Introduce SUV in Indian Market

Automobile maker Hindustan Motors Ltd said they will soon launch a high-premium SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) in country.
We are expecting to launch the high-premium SUV ‘Outlander’ by this year itself in the Indian market and it would be placed between Mitsubishi’s Pajero and Montero.
- Mr. Vijay Kumar (HM’s Executive Vice-President) said.
The vehicle may be priced around Rs. 30 lakh.
According to him, the ‘Montero’s’ sales of performance was phenomenal since a launch of vehicle.
So far we have sold 600 units and we are expecting it to increase this year too. We sell around 250 units of Pajero every month and cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai have reported good sales performance.

Referring to join with Opulent Auto Care, Mr. Kumar said that concept is progressively gaining an importance from the vehicle owners. Opulent’s MD Mr. S Sathyaprakash said through a contract, the industry expects earnings of Rs. 70 crore in 2008. He also said that it will boost its market presence from current 65-cities to 90-cities by end of 2008.

SUV is once again gaining popular in Indian market. Outlander is the vehicle where many of the car enthusiasts waiting for its launch. And Mahindra’s SUV are doing well in Indian roads. So this car will rock just like other cars that are present in the market.
