Hey Great News for Sports Bike Lovers!
Harley Davidson, United States based superbike maker has launched bikes in Indian market.

The company has lunched 5-models which will be available from 2010. These models are priced between the ranges of INR 12 lakhs to 14 lakhs. The stated price might seem expensive, but due to heavy import duties the bike gets costlier in India (At least double the price in US).Harley Davidson’s launched models include - Fat Boy, One from 883 cc - Roadster, Night Rod Special, and modified model - Legend Harley.
Given the rapid development of India’s economy and physical infrastructure, this is exactly the right time to bring come here. Two things worked in our favour : development of the heavyweight bike segment with many of our competitors coming in and increasing demand pull for leisure bikes.
- Mr. Matthew Levatich (President & COO, Harley Davidson Motor) said.
The company has different 43 models in their home market and having plans to launch 12 to 15 of these next year in India. Harley is having two main plants in US where it manufactures motorcycles. However the company has small assembly units across Singapore, Brazil, Indonesia and Malaysia. The company have 3-dealerships in China also.
Harley has started the process of selecting dealers and constructing flagship subsidy which is already in progress at Gurgaon, New Delhi.

I have gone through the HD web site. But un fortunately they did not given the detail spec of the bike. This is very important for the potential customer to understand the bike theoretically.
