General Motors to Introduce New Small Car in India

In India, small car industry is booming and is appearing to be rapidest growing car segment which attracted attention of almost all car market in country. GM shall be prepared to launch their latest small car in India in a 2nd half of 2009.
GM’s new car will not compete with the ‘Nano’ but may provide to small car segment demands in India.
We intend to introduce a second mini into the market. When we say new cars (for India), that’s referring to a second mini and potentially another vehicle in a completely different segment.

As yearly car sales outlines gear up to attain almost two million passenger car sales in India by 2010 and the small car sales taking to almost 2/3 of sales, GM doesn’t want to be left behind.
The GM’s 2nd small car will supply to universal demands with the inputs from India. They previously launched their ‘Chevrolet Spark‘ in April’ 08.

India is getting crowded with the small cars.majority of indian buyers prefer small cars.And the car manufacturers are following the trend by rolling out more small car.GM small car is good in every sense but hope they keep up with the affordbility factor.
