Ford Figo Vs Maruti Suzuki A-Star
Posted on May 15th 2010Welcome back!

The design of the A-Star might be weird and different from the rest. Its head lights look weird and stare all the time. Unlike the Figo the A-Star is much roomier when it comes to space and interiors. The A-Star has a new engine which is designed for rough use.

The Figo has a competitor which rips off the interior section. The A-Star is wide and comfortable. The interiors are spacious and roomier than the Figo. From the driver to the passenger all of them are comfortable when it comes to space in the new A-Star. Couple of features are missing in the A-Star which are found in the Figo. The Interiors are designed in efficient manner in the new A-Star. The Figo does have room but not as much as compared to the A-Star.
Handling and feel
The A-Star might be bit tight to handle when it comes to taking turns. The Figo handles superb when it comes to driving for long durations. Ford have designed this car according to new specifications which are superb and one of the best in its class. Driving in the Figo for long durations is possible since it has the best driving position for the driver.
Engine and feel
When it comes to speed, though the Figo is slow, the A-Star is also not that fast as compared to the Figo. The A-Star has superb handling but lacks in speed. The Figo is exactly opposite when it comes to speed and handling. The Figo can race up ahead of the A-Star with ease.
Time to go to the ATM
In this case you have a choice to make. Speed and comfort wise the Figo is the best option. Spacious and handling wise the A-Star is the best. These are two cars which have distinct features which are being sorted out for your preference. The Figo is new in market, according to looks the Figo does look good.

Maruti A Star is giving me consistent mileage of 19 kmpl. It is easy to drive, thanks to its power steering. the interiors have nice features and the K series is so silent in operation, not lending noise inside the cabin. A Star suits all our small family car needs. Maruti’s after sales service is excellent and spare parts are cheap. Maruti is a true star

I am a proud owner of A Star. I like its stylish headlamps, the smooth curves and the trendy designs. On the interior, A Star gives me a fresh feel, thanks to the refreshing touches made by Maruti. A Star simply rocks.

“Unlike the Figo the A-Star is much roomier when it comes to space and interiors.”
All I can say that you must be stark raving mad to say this. Another possibility is you have been bought off by Maruti.
I did not even read the rest of the review after seeing this.

“The A-Star might be bit tight to handle when it comes to taking turns.” - “The A-Star has superb handling but lacks in speed.” - “The A-Star offers a complete different package which ensures you have speed, luxury and space.”
“When it comes to speed, though the Figo is slow, the A-Star is also not that fast as compared to the Figo.” - “The Figo can race up ahead of the A-Star with ease.”
You are talking nonsense here, I wonder how much intellect you have to completely contradict yourself as seen in your statements above.

I know I said I did not read the review, but could not help reading it later only to be astonished by the absurd statements of the reviewer.

You’ve got to be nuts to claim that A-star has more room than Figo.
My wife and I went to the showrooms this morning. A-star is only slightly larger than Alto, while Figo interior spacing compares to that of Ritz and Swift (though Swift is larger).

A star one of the worst cars i ever drove..figo on the other hand is more spacious and is good in all aspects except for mileage.!!
TechSpec responded on 13 Nov 2010 at 4:21 am #
Please check the technical specification of Figo it is very spacious, better leg room and head space and it is obviously wider than A-star and it perfectly fits 5 people,Just try the AC of figo that’s really chill and its AC is the best in its class,Road Grip is really good even at higher speeds as its aero dynamic design is good,On the other hand A-star has better mileage but its wallow at higher speed’s,Just test drive the vehicle’s A-star as well as Figo you will feel the difference ,Go for Figo.mind it i own a A-star Planning to sell this and buy figo,A-star was good only for its mileage nothing oither than that.

We bought a new A-star 6 months back n I personally felt that A-star has a decent mileage n it has a new k-series engine n it does well compare to previous engine of A-star. Yes i do agree that previous A-star engine had some problems with but now their new k-series engine suits well n performing well:-)
A-star rocks. . . . . Go n Get it:-)

astar best.figo no mileage and no rear power windows
Subodh responded on 31 Jan 2011 at 5:11 am #
Hey, I’ve observed a lot of hatchbacks reducing on the power & performance of the
car to increase the mileage. Figo is an example of that. The new Vista 90 has managed
to pack in performance with a fairly good mileage too, check out its review

A-Star is good in style. Interior is OK, in VXi , the boot space is very less (129 Litres) . Rear doors are small and does not give comfort to get in much. When compared to i -10 space is poor and rear comfort is poor . Openly to say it is designed as City car , just to comute to office n back home. But Cost is higher side, if it is within 3.5 Lackhs on Road people will take it.
