Ford is one of the top hatchback seller at the moment with its Figo. It is an economical hatchback car which has loads of features at an affordable price. The design of the car is also according to new hatchback style. Since new emission norms are developed there is a change in the making of the Figo.

New materials are required to build the Figo. Price of metal is also increasing meanwhile. To accommodate the Figo in the current price is not possible, both the variants i.e. - 1.2liter and the 1.4liter will have a price hike. According to sources the price hike will be around 2%. Even transportation costs are increasing; to match the operating costs price hike will take place.

The demand of Ford Figo in increasing day by day, the company has managed to sell 20,000units over 2 months time. June 1st week will decide the new price of the Ford Figo. Demands are so high for the Figo that Ford had to recruit 700 new employees for its Chennai Plant and have a second working shift. Chennai Plant is capable of delivering 6000 units every month.Currently the Ford Figo is a having a 4 week waiting period which is increasing day by day. Use of second shift will ensure a dip in waiting period. Upgrading equipments of the Chennai Plant is in process to satisfy current demands of the Figo. The current price is 3.5 lakhs and 4.48 lakhs which will change in first week of June.
