Ford Fiesta Classic To Be Unveiled On 7th April

Ford is on a roll in the Indian automobile market. First it was the success of Ford Figo that paved the way for company’s further solidity in the market. Later Fiesta, the flagship model of the company became the best car in terms of customer satisfaction for the second consecutive year which has helped the company grow further.

Continuing with the popular demands from the market, Ford has decided to roll out its classic edition of Fiesta on 7th April, 2011 all over. The launch will be organized in Chennai in the presence of Ford’s senior officials and media representatives.

Providing you an insight, Ford Fiesta is the flagship model of Ford and is among the best selling cars of the company in India. The model is soon going to touch a milestone of 1,00,000 units and the company is overwhelmed to announce a classic model of the car to celebrate the occasion.

The special version comes laced with new features and specifications along with an impressive look to win you all over again. For a long time, there were speculations that Ford was looking to stop its model, the Ford Ikon and the refreshed model of Fiesta is being seen as a possible replacement.

Coming to the classic Fiesta, it will give a tough fight to the likes of Toyota Etios, Tata Manza, Mahindra Logan and Maruti Suzuki Dzire in terms of power and performance. As far as the pricing for the new model is concerned, the auto biggie has not disclosed the price as yet and it’s being speculated that it should be announced once the company officially unveils the model in launching ceremony in Chennai.

Presently, Ford offers Ford Fiesta in two engine variants; 1596 cc petrol and 1399 cc diesel. The petrol edition of the car is powered by 1596 cc engine that delivers a mileage of 10.5 kmpl on city roads and 15.3 kmpl on highways. However, the diesel run model is fuel efficient as it gives a mileage of 14.9 in urban condition and `17.8 kmpl on highway.

The company has not provided any input on what type of fuel would be used for the new car. But there is a speculation from the industry experts that the car might be a fuel efficient one and shall come at a competitive price range on par with market price for sedan segment cars.
