The car

Ford Fiesta is available in Diesel version too with the same features that are loaded in the petrol variant. The main difference in the diesel variant is the engine capacity and internal features of the car. The diesel Fiesta has a 1.4 liter engine instead of a 1.6. The power output and maintenance of the car is also changing with the engine size and capacity. The diesel version is economical and very powerful to use. The car has superb pick up and high end acceleration like the petrol version. Apart from all these the Ford Fiesta EXI is very easy to drive and maneuver at high speeds. The overall handling of the car is same as to the petrol version, infact the diesel version feels much lighter and you can rev the engine for a high end output. Yes the diesel variant does not deliver that type of punch in acceleration like the petrol variant.

The exterior section does not have any type of changes or cut outs which are different from the original Ford Fiesta. CD player is something which is missing in the EXI variant of Fiesta. Well as said this is the basic variant in diesel line up of Fiesta. ABS is also missing in the car which is a must when driving at high speeds. Power steering helps in controlling the car, power steering ensures quick turning unlike the old type of steering wheel. Power windows help in quick access of breathing space incase you are bored of the AC system.

Performance of the car

The car performs quite well in the speed segment. Red line the Fiesta and you will be traveling at 156kmph speed. The car takes 17.5 seconds to reach from stand still to 100kmph. Well this is quite less in terms of power for the diesel engine. The car gives 14 kms to the liter which is very decent. On the highway the car will deliver outstandingly 17 kms to the liter which is simply unbeatable for any sedan with such luxury features.

Value of the car

The engine used in the EXI is a diesel one, there is less maintenance as compared to a petrol engine. You need to keep the car in stationary mode at the start of the day, diesel engines takes time to start up and need to be kept running in the initial period for having a good acceleration and top end speed.

Verdict

Go for it if you need a diesel sedan car. Other options are also available that can be selected in terms of speed and performance.
