First Hydro Powered 3-Wheeler of World’s - Mahindra Hy-Alfa !

India’s one of the top auto makers, Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled hydrogen (H2) powered three-wheeler named Hy-Alfa, at World Hydro Technologies Conference 2009 in New Delhi.
The Hy-Alfa is the first vehicle of its kind in the world. It runs on nothing but compressed hydrogen gas and is incredibly engineered to run with absolutely zero emissions, which makes it a pleasure to drive on congested city roads. Hydrogen is, in fact, the technology and fuel of tomorrow and is the long term solution to pollution, energy security & CO2 emission related concerns.

Hy-Alfa comes with Internal Combustion Engine. It is offered in both versions- cargo & passenger (3-seater). Mahindra is working jointly with world-reputed R&D units and some Indian partners to improve study on this innovative technology.
Just few days before, Mahindra has signed the MOU with the UNDIO (United Nations Indstr. Development Org.) and ICHET (International Centre for Hydro Energy & Technology) with other partners.
