It seems news just can’t stop coming in from the Fiat camp. After decision to scrap the Palio, Fiat wanted to bring something new, actually a renewed product, to its segment subordinate to the Fiat Grande Punto. From all the corners of the auto industry this news is getting more and more significant that Fiat will launch its renewed UNO in India.

Technical checks, tests, road tests and other procedures would start between mid July and August this year, and will hit the showrooms as the year ends. The Fiat UNO might be just the right replacement for the Palio, as its supermini has not done too well in Indian markets. The Indian Fiat UNO version would be equipped with 1.0 lit ‘flex’ fuel engine and a 1.4 lit engine for the low-end and the high-end respectively.

For diesel engine fans there are slightest of possibilities that the Fiat UNO would incorporate the new Multi-Jet 1.3 lit engine, which will also help the UNO to set itself in a potentially diesel-variant-lacking-market as that of India’s.Well the Indian Fiat UNO has its much better toned, muscular twin in Brazil. There it is called the ‘Uno Way’. Showing off its muscular toned body with streamlined and aerodynamic design, the car also has high ground clearance to rather be versatile and get into off-road mode.

This is much more fun driving and will give you one exciting experience. As far as strategy to lift Fiat’s name in Indian market, there certainly is a major chance that the company would try it in the Indian market. It would make waves here in India providing tough competition to the likes of Premiere Rio and Mahindra Xylo which accommodates 5 passengers.I guess Fiat’s plans are really making it big at Indian shores.
