Fiat Linea Succeeds ‘Car of the Year’ and ‘Mid-size Car of the Year’ Award

Fiat Linea won the ‘Car of the Year‘ award by UTVi Autocar. The Linea was also won the ‘Midsize car of the Year‘ award by both CNBC Overdrive and UTVi Autocar. Win succeed achieve

Fiat Linea contended the exhaustive parameters list and was selected as the
‘Outstanding contenders‘ among numerous top contenders. The other competitors includes Maruti Swift Dzire, New Honda City, Skoda Fabia, Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai i20 etc. The function was organized by the top Indian Auto magazines.
This is one of the largest achievements made by the Fiat in the country. Fiat Linea is offered with stylish features in the segment, has definitely increased a bar for the mid-size segment. The Fiat Linea was also awarded the ‘2008 BBC TopGear Best Mid-size Saloon‘ award by TopGear.
The awards are recognition of the joint effort put in by teams at Ranjangaon Plant, support departments at Turin and Tata Motors in Mumbai. They have worked relentlessly to bring this Italian Masterpiece on Indian Roads.

Problems with Fiat Linea and Fiat –Tata Service
Letter written to Mr. Rajeev Kapoor, CEO, FIAT India Automobiles Limited on
31st March, 2009
Dear Mr. Kapoor,
I have bought a new fiat linea (1.4 petrol emotion pack) from cargo motors at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. (Engine number:0703594 Chasis Number: MCA11071609003671CQZ)
Withstanding the delay in promised delivery date from Fiat /Cargo, I took the delivery on 21st March. On 27th i.e after only 6 days and around 500 Km of drive, the car gave me trouble on the Ahmedabad Vadodara expressway as all the signals and lights on the dashboard went on and off randomly, the speedometer, rev meter, temperature gauge, fuel gauge went dead or moved arbitrarily and to add to this the airbag failure message also appeared frequently.
As the engine was running and on the advice of Cargo motors technical incharge, I drove the vehicle back to Ahmedabad. On 28th morning the vehicle was taken to Cargo motors. In my presence one complete day was spent by cargo motors fiat trained engineers on the car. Initially they did not have any testing equipment and were trying to read my owners manual to figure out the buttons and commands.
After bringing this to the notice of President of Cargo motors Mr. Suri, he called Mr. Pankaj patel, manager customer support TATA to solve the problem. A testing equipment was brought from outside and through telephone conference with Fiat engineers at Ranjangaon, Mr Pankaj tried to rectify the problem. After end of the day I was told that the dashboard display and electronic problem has been rectified (the cause of which they still could not identify).
The problem which was left unresolved was of absence of sound from the Blaupunkt music and the Microsoft blue and me system. After again talking to fiat engineers at Ranjangaon, Cargo motors asked me to leave the Blaupunkt music system and promised to put up a new one in a couple of days. It has been four days now since I left the music system at Cargo but I have not received any positive reply. Mr Pankaj gave me the phone number of Mr Abhejeet Rajendran, Regional coordinator at fiat for clarification, but unfortunately even Mr Abhejeet Rajendran has not given me any concrete reply and on my insistence has only sent a vague email through Mr Pankaj that the system will be replaced soon.
The above incidence has left me with an extremely bitter experience with the so called revamped fiat India. I wish to get an immediate response from FIAT on the above issue, and also hope that the FIAT one week new car does not give me any further trouble, in which case I shall be forced to return the vehicle to FIAT as well as take the company to consumer court for supplying a defective car.

dear sir/madam,
i have recently bought fiat linea emotion pk from a dealer (concarde motors) but there is a company fault in the name EMOTION , as my car is having EMOT ON .
so please let me know who can help me with this problem of mine as even company is loosing repo.
