FiatLet’s put it to you across straight.

Fiat, the Italian auto major who used to run its business in collaboration with non other than Tata in India has decided to rollout its slew of showroom in India without the support of the Tata’s.

Yes, after achieving their targets in the buzzing Indian automobile market by making customized products and having a feeling of their own ground here, Fiat has decided to launch its range of showrooms or brand stores on its own.

The company has gone ahead with the plan after gaining its brand value in the market as customers are making a beeline to grab a Fiat car. During the course of some time, Fiat has studied the market, the possibilities ahead and its reception or feedback amongst the target audience.

It’s only after studying the demand in the market for Fiat made products has made the company all out to make the most of the compelling opportunities to be unlocked in the Indian automobile market.

Under the new announcement, Fiat won’t be sharing the same platform for launching its own car in a Tata showroom as it is destined to develop a strong brand image in India and the company is heavily banking on the huge responses it has been enjoying form its end-users.

More importantly these new brand stores won’t be a center to sell or purchase a Fiat car but a center to showcase how a big Fiat is as a brand is to aware and let people connect with the brand. It would also be utilized to generate enquiries pertaining to sales.

Be ready to welcome these new ‘Image Stores’ in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Pune and Bangalore as Fiat readies itself showcase the heritage of the company for a strong brand awareness.

With such a resounding move by the company to excel ahead and many more, Fiat is all set to reap the fruits of its hard labor put together for so many years.

I think it is high time FIAT starts its own dealership network rather than depending on TATA. TVS killed Fiat in its first incarnation, I am certain TATA will do the same in its second outing. I own a Linea, its a fabulous car worth much more than its value. With Fiats help, Tata upgraded all their vehicles and sells them cheaper. Look at VIsta and Manza!! Go to Tata showroom for a Fiat, they will tell you to buy TATA rather than FIAT. They elequantly tell you that Tata vehicles have everything that FIat have, but deadly cheaper in comparison. If you insist for Fiat, then you have to hang around there for hours without much attention. Go to a Tata Workshop, you cant even get into with the sea of Tata cars. You feel you bought a car without any identity!!
The FIAT management is clueless and irresponsible. How they allowed TATA to take them for a ride!! The top management seems to be filled with second rate Managers as they are out of ideas to sell top class cars. How else you can lose sale by 8% when the auto industry was booming with 33% rise in sales!! The top management needs to be hacked without mercy for killing such beautiful cars!!. There is no aggressive marketing, no imaginative sales plan, no free inspection gimmics etc. Are they not ashamed???

FIAT, please overhaul the entire system and do it yourself. No one can beat you.

Fiat should start by its own as it has the best technology but expensive to stay in Indian market

Whenever I visit TATA service centre feel sad for FIAT. Always thinking that service guys of TATA may be trained specially to treat FIAT owner to hamper FIAT image. I’m a proud owner of PUNTO since 1 year except minor problem I’m very much happy. If Nissan do it with just 9 service centre why not FIAT. rather than image shop please start independent service centre.

I am an ardent fan of FIAT. I was owning a Palio 2001 Model, presently owning Palio NV Sport. We all should understand one thing. Many Indians buy cars, very few buy a quality car. I wanted to upgrade my car to Linea. Tata took 21 days to offer for a test drive, if you ask for a TATA car, they are very prompt. The staff are not even aware about the launch of T-Jet just a week before it entered the Indian Market… When I approached TATA-FIAT dealership at Visakhapatnam, (M/s Sivashankar Motors) a sales executive mentioned Shockabsorbers as semiconductors, such kind of staff can never improve the sales. Tata is using Fiat technology to suit their interest. They market their cars by specifically mentioning that it has world class FIAT engines. But they don’t bother to market FIAT. It is high time FIAT should stand on its own feet and market their world class product.

i owned a Fiat uno ,when ever i visit a tata dealer for a test drive of Fiat vehicles ,they offer u Tata vehicles. They simply say tata is better. Most of them Dont have a test vehicle itself. This scenarion is there in hyderabad, chennai ,bangalore, pondy and cuddalore.Even the service dealers advice not to buy fiat cars.MY Tvs Is doing a good job of spoiling all the Fiat brands. To Top it all Mgazines owned by Tata,s Overdrive says fiat punto is nearly 5 seconds of tata indica vista(90 Hp).They say a fiat punto 90 hp diesel is just 1.5 sec faster than old one and lot slower than all the other cars in the segment.Even the T- jet is faster than the competition by nearly 2 secs, but the mag says it is in the competition region

.. haha I have to agree with the responses. I had recently bought a Fiat Punto and fortunately for me I had reasonably good experience with the TATA sales person.
If people are going to buy a car just by seeing how well or good the showroom or sales ppl are then they will only end up buying a maruthi or Hundai. Its like judging a book by looking at its cover, if you have brains you dont usually do it. you do your due research get your facts straight and go for a test drive and choose your car.

when you step into a TATA showroom and ask for a FIAT test drive, you might be shown a tata car but if you are not distracted by all the TATA distractions you should get what you want.

true most people want you to buy what they want to sell, I had this experience while shopping for my car accessories but If you are on top of things and know what you really need and what you can not compromise on the sales people will sell u anything even a fiat :P rather than not selling at all.

Fiat cars are good in quality and performance, but due to lack of after sales service and availability of spare part, customer loose faith on Fiat.

FIAT INDIA AUTO is setting up stores for brand building not service or repair or sell parts. So don’t get conned. Italians are the most well known conmen in Europe. Punto, Linea or Palio owners will still have to get their cars serviced by Tata Motors.

I welcome the fiat move to set up a seperate showrooms and service centers, I was very much facinated by FIAT LINEA, because of tie up with TATA, and i know very well how they treat FIAT products, i zeroed it on FORD FIESTA just 2 moths before(I am enjoying fiesta no doubt)…but i think FIAT HAS lost many customers like me other wise they would be competing with Maruthi and ford..I wish all the best to FIAT. At last realising the mistake.

it was absolutely a wrong dicision of joined hand with tata for sale & service of Fiat cars . i have palio 1.9 D 2003 model , as you enter in the tata service center they start weeping & crying parts are not available , says ye gadi ko scrap kar do etc. if a small auto mobile traders ” shetty motor mumbai can carry inventory of all parts of fiat why the tata can not do , but they donot want to maintian inventory of said parts intenionally .
over the 100 yrs of Automobile establishment of TATA they havenot their own made engine , they use cummins for their truck , & now fiat for small sagments , basically they are smart copiers of other technology .
Fiat will be highly appriciated if they starts their own sales & service centers in 1st & 2 tiar cities . yesterday i have travelled through surat suddenly my car had noise of tensioner pully , it was only fiat which reached at baroda in this condition , other cars might have been dreak down in such case .

to Fiat ———— PLS START IMMEDIATELLY
    to TATA ———- shame .shame
