Fiat 500 - Cinquecento Launched

Fiat India has launched the Fiat 500 also known as Cinquecento (in Italian) in the India. The 500 was originally designed by Dante Giocosa and was introduced in 1957 in the Turin. Exactly 50-years after its 1st launch the latest Fiat 500 was launched last year in Turin amidst a lot fanfare which was spread across the number of Italian cities.

The 500 will be available in 2-levels: Sport and Lounge. The car is powered by a 1.3L multi-jet engine generating a power 75 bhp. It will be equipped with the ‘Blue & Me‘ the Voice activated In-Car communication system.The car will be offer through the imported Completely Built Unit (CBU) route and the industry will help an import of the car to the client. This launch of the Fiat 500 is an perfect pre-cursor to the launch of the other scheduled Fiat cars like Linea, Grande Punto and Bravo in the country.
The launch of the Fiat 500 fits perfectly in the Indian context as the company is going through the process of transformation. We are confident that this car, with it’s stylish looks, economical consumption figures, exceptional safety features (5 Star rating in Euro NCAP) and green credentials, will win a place in everyone’s hearts.
