Welcome back!

Eon – The new small car will be introduced by the Hyundai company very soon

Hyundai is now in an attempt to introduce small cost that costs less than 3 lakh rupees after launching a slew of premium hatchbacks that range from Santro and Santro Xing to i10 and the i20. The new car that will be introduced by Hyundai is called as Eon that is going to give competition to the best-selling car of Maruti Suzuki named Alto. This car will be priced between only 2.50 lakh to 2.60 rupees, which will hit the Indian market in the month of October between 10 and 15 days ahead of Diwali.

This new car called Eon will be an entry-level car according to Hyundai with no negotiation since it will be a large car with a big boot. Talking about the engine of this car, it is powered by an 814 cc engine and gives the mileage of 21.1 km. The length of the Eon will be the similar like Alto however wider and taller by almost 75 and 40 mm comparatively. Eon makes use of plenty of different components from i10 and Santro and based on Santro platform new fluidic design is used by Hyundai for giving the Eon car a new-age looks.

Tata Motors is also in an attempt to develop a car between Indica and Nano to give completion to Hyundai. Furthermore, Volkswagen is even developing a car below the price range of Figo after getting success in the sales of Figo. The sales of Mini car are growing at 20%. It means the sales of small cars are increasing and small cars are big in India. Even if the Eon is introduced to give competition to Alto, the car promises more than what the latter provides. Eon sports after its makeover threw a challenge to the competitors such as Volkswagen Vento and Honda City.

Asked if it would not cannibalize its successful and only slightly higher priced Santro (Santro based price is Rs 2.80 lakh in Delhi), Saxena said, “The Eon will expand our market share by cannibalizing into our competitor’s products. Santro is positioned very differently from the Eon. We have no plans of withdrawing the Santro when it is doing so well.”

Eon car is introduced with the features like front power windows, central locking, keyless entry, driver air bags, fog lamps and two-tone interiors. “Eon is targeted at the first time buyer who is young, who has just started earning. It is also targeted at the young family that is looking for its first car, Saxena told.”

Hyundai said that Eon was completely designed and produced only for the Indian automobile market. The functional interiors of the car is the result of many interactions the global R& D officials of the company had with National Institute of Design, designers and Dilip Chhabria, a well-known Indian auto designer. The R& D center of the company in Hyderabad was completely involved with the project particularly in the development of crucial components for the car according to Saxena.

Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and all. But just imagine if you added some great images or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and video clips, this site could undeniably be one of the very best in its field. Amazing blog!
