Detroit International Auto Salon (DIAS) announced their intentions that one of India’s top auto suppliers regions to display their products at DIAS’ Wayne County facility.

DIAS President Michael Wesney and I had a series of meetings with the leading Pune auto cluster suppliers to exhibit their products during our recent trip to India. As a result, they are planning to send a delegation here soon.

- Mr. Eric Huang (Chairman and CEO of DIAS Holding, Inc.).

Pune is rapid apt a main industrial hub in India, and the center of auto making, hosting facilities owned by the Tata, Bajaj, and Daimler. Big metal components makers, like Bharat Forging Ltd, the world’s 2nd major forging company, are there. Placed 160 kms east of Mumbai, Thyssen-Krupp, Cummins, IBM, EDS and Siemens all have major existence in Pune.

DNA, a local newspaper, covered DIAS delegation trip to solicit Pune manufacturing to showcase its products in the Allen Park, home to the DIAS’ over 300K sq-ft facility.

So far, we have received an overwhelming response from Pune industry… to setting up a wholly dedicated Pune pavilion for component manufacturers.

- Mr. Shailendra Goswami (MD of Pushkaraj Engineering Enterprises PLC) stated.

In Pune, there exist more than 2,200 industries in automotive & components, electronics, biotech, IT, chemical and environmental technologies.

It is good for Pune small-medium enterprises (SMEs) and we will surely work towards having a better participation from Pune to DIAS as it will give companies an international exposure.

- Mr. Anant Sardeshmukh (Director-General of the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries & Agriculture (MCCIA)).
