Dessert Strom and Classic Chrome – Two new variants launched by Royal Enfield

Two new variants of the classic 500 Bullet have been launched by Royal Enfield. These two variants are Desert Storm and Classic Chrome. Both of these models provide incredible performance with perfect quality of Royal Enfield’s style. This year, a glance of the new model Classic Chrome has been revealed on their site and has written there coming soon. Both of the bikes have the similar specifications since the Classic 500 model that has an electronic fuel injection system, a 500 cc TwinSpark engine and even a power output of 27.2 bhp. The design of the new model Desert Strom has been greatly motivated from the World War Era, particularly from the RE monogram on the tank as well as tank pads.
These two new launches have the similar single spring saddle seat. They look identical to the old classic excluding for their color. The ECU of the two new bikes has even been refurnished for smooth power delivery. A few other notable changes have also been done. These changes include wheel sizes of the bikes will be 19-inch in the front and rear maintains its 18-inch rim. The new change is done in the front wheel mount on the fork tube on both of the new bikes for accommodating the new big front wheel.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Venkatesh Padmanabhan, CEO of Royal Enfield said, “When we launched the Classic in November 2009, we had not imagined in our wildest dreams that this new product would occupy almost 40% of our total sales within a year of its launch. During this time we have feverishly engaged ourselves in burnishing this gem. The fruits of this labor are now manifested in the Classic Chrome and Desert Storm.”

“Following the launch of Classic 350 & 500cc in September 2009, we have been continuously equipping our dealerships to take customer satisfaction to the next level. In 2011, we have added 15 dealerships and one brand store to our existing network”, he said.

The price of the class chrome will be almost 1, 50,659 and the price of Desert Storm will be nearly 1, 43,967. The on road prices will be 1,65,400 and 1,58,200 comparatively. The company has its manufacturing base in Chennai. The company provides many new models catering to the needs of the enthusiasts, urban youth, traditional segments and the leisure bikers. The chrome 500 delivers a mouth watering 27.2bhp and is an ideal cruise bike for long trips. It delivers the power. The Desert Storm is wonderfully equipped with exciting technical features of classic chrome such as the signature royal Enfield tiger lamps, unique tail lamp, wide mud guards and oval tool box.

With their unique styling, stunning looks and a performance to match, both of the bikes are balanced to be trendsetters on the Indian roads.
