The hot hatchback on the planet is the Honda Civic Type R MUGEN. If the last time you have not purchased it due to the limited production then the hotter car will be available soon. This new car has many new features and going to attract many purchasers. When the announcement is made by the luxury car maker that they will launch a luxury and a hand crafted uber car then the automobile world have a notice of it. People very frequently hear about a hand-built performance hatchback. Honda launched last year the 20 car models of Honda Civic Type R MUGEN.

Once the car was ready, a few changes have been made by the technicians at MUGEN Euro. The changes have been made in the engine. They have increased the cylinder bore and stroke that upped the engine size from 2.0 liter to 2.2 litres. This new engine is almost 30 percent powerful as compared to the K20 unit having a power output of 256 horsepower on tap. A collection of motorsport derived components have been used in this car like sports suspension, bigger brakes and a bodykit that makes it stand out on the road. The new car model known as Honda Civic Type R MUGEN 2.2 is an eventual expression of Honda Civic Type R philosophy.

Highly successful engine the K20 is the preferred choice of a number of motorsport contenders as well as tuners as it is a high revving engine that has been available since the foundation of MUGEN in the year 2006. The engine of this new car is one of the best naturally aspirated race engines across.  The engine of this new car was registered as a Group N race series engine.

The new car has been created as a tribute to the Honda K20 2.0 litre petrol engine which of which 400 race and rally competitors have stormed the world. Honda’s K20 engine has made it under the hood of two road cars, The Honda Civic MUGEN RR in Japan and the Honda Civic Type R MUGEN in the UK.

Hero Toyoda, vice-president of MUGEN Euro, commented: “Environmental pressures mean naturally aspirated engines are rapidly being superseded by other engine architectures and technologies. We may never see the like of the K20 in a mainstream production car again, so felt it only fitting we mark the occasion with this special 2.2 version of the Honda Civic Type R”.

The production of Honda Civic Type R MUGEN 2.2 has not been finalized yet. Honda can promote 4 MUGEN Type R Civics, which were not launched and sold from the previous 20 cars. The new car is provided having 2.2 litre engine along with suspension as well as brake upgrades as mentioned above. Owners of the limited edition Honda Civic Type R MUGEN have been asked to return those cars for an improvement containing the new components.
