Another SUV is making its presence felt rapidly in the Indian markets. The new RIO would be between a mid-size to large utility vehicle’s segment is what the company is targeting for. Premier RIO as it is called is a Dahastu model from Zoyte group. The company is said to have at sales figure of around 100,000 units of the RIO per annum.

“We have re-entered the Indian market with India’s first ever Compact Diesel SUV. With the luxuRIOus comfort in RIO along with its unbeatable pricing strategy, we are optimistic of redefining Indian customer’s perception about an SUV”, is what Mr.Goel, GM, Marketing, Premier Limited had to add when asked him about this car.The company claims that a total of 5 passengers can be seated in the car comfortably. It also gives the technical specifications of the RIO, which has a 1498cc engine and the engine can produce up to 65 BHP. RIO’s fuel efficiency is marked around 16 km per liter. People will surely welcome this advantage. While the company is planning to assemble its cars at Premier’s Pune plant, RIO would be available across 60 dealerships and soon according to the sources, it will be expanded up to 200 dealerships. The Premier RIO is available in trendy colors like Tafeta White, Sleek Silver, Royal Black, Cool Blue and Brick Red.

This SUV is all compact but very spacious from inside and it has features like power steering, front power windows, central locking. It also encapsulates a CD/MP3 player. Available in both A/C and non-A/C versions, the SUV is surely going to make waves around the market. Moreover, additional features like anti-lock breaking system (ABS) and alloy wheels are a part of the higher end models of the RIO. Hopefully, this SUV would hit popularity charts soon.
