Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 MUV Entry Level Variant Launched

The Brand of General Motors, Chevrolet has a new variant in the Multi Utility Vehicle segment in the Indian market, Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3. The new model was unveiled in the Auto Show 2012, Delhi in the month of January. It is available in all the showrooms of the company and is a surprise package as it comes with numerous special features with a price tag of Rs 6.72 lakhs onwards. The price announced is for the BS (Bharat Stage) III version of the new variant of Chevrolet Tavera. The price of the BS IV would be announced in the near future.
The Brand Chevrolet which gave intense competition to the Toyota Qualis is now back with a bang into the Multi Utility Vehicle segment with the brand new Neo 3 model. The Neo 3 also comes in an ambulance version which is available within the price range of Rs 6.36 lakh to Rs 7.13 lakh.
The new Neo 3 has a host of features like a new set of curvy and rectangular headlamps, a sleek front grille with the crest of Chevrolet displayed prominently. When compared to the Neo 2 version, the new model is high on the comfort factor as it has more space in the driver as well as the passenger cabins. The base variant of the model is priced at 6.72 lakh rupees whereas the high end LT variant may cost up to Rs 10.02 lakh. This model has got improvements in the exteriors as well as interiors when compared to its earlier model.
The BS III version of Neo 3 has a 2.5 - 4 L cylinder Turbo diesel engine based on the Isuzu technology whereas the BS IV version which would be out in some time will have an advanced 2.0 liter TCDi diesel engine with direct injection. The BS III version diesel engine can spew up to a maximum of 80 PS power at 3900 rpm along with maximum torque of 186 Nm at 1800 rpm. The BS IV version’s engine would enable lesser emissions and is ultra frugal. A five speed manual gearbox is a common feature of both the engines.
Chevrolet Tavera Neo 3 is available with different seating options and the customer can choose its seating capacity from 6 to 10 persons. The newly designed cockpit gives more space for the passengers. Also two foldable rear seats is an added feature in this car. It has got dual color graphic combination and comes with advanced alloy wheels. This model is supposed to be a tough competition to Toyota Innova in the market.

When we bought the Diamond Kote Pkg. we never tohught we would have a problem (they’d never had a problem before) but for some flukey reason We did. Lakewood kept trying to fix the problem but it kept returning until one day The service Manager(sorry his name escapes me this morning) had this brilliant idea and voila, we haven’t had the same problem since. We now have a shiney finish every time we wash our truck. They never gave up trying to fix the problem until we were satified, and we are 100% satified! So much so that we decided to trust Lakewood again and just bought our Winter tires and rims for our truck and saved a whole lot of money, just like they promised when I went to the meet and greet night.
