Very soon, Volkswagen Beetle will arrive in India at the Auto Expo Show along with Blue Motion tech cars. This was already officially announced by Volkswagen before. Auto Expo platform will be also used by the company for  focusing on their Blue Motion technologies and its fuel-effective cars as a part of the Think Blue campaign of the company that was introduced at present year with the launching of VW Passat. Volkswagen AG, the German carmaker, for its global operations will source more parts from India. Not just that but the company also plans to increase its annual component sourcing from India to around Rs 2074 crore, this will happen over the next 3 to 5 years.

With Volkswagen planning to launch its new car “UP!” in the small car sector sometime in 2 to 3 years, this move will also help the company to increase its localization to around 90 per cent. The German carmaker aims to double the current number of component suppliers in order to widen its range of spare parts made for the global markets. Now let us know more about Breeze editions of both Polo and Vento. First things first!

Volkswagen’s plant in Chakan near Pune has recently rolled out its 50000th car ever since the plant was set up two years ago. The 50000th car was a Vento and after achieving this feat, the company is determined to add more cars to its existing line-up at the manufacturing plant.
