Tata Motors have launched an improved version of its Sumo Grande named Sumo Grande MK II, with more exterior and interior enhancements. New model will cost INR 6.56 lakh to INR 7.66 lakh (Mumbai Price), INR 20,000 to 30,000 less than the old version.

Tata Motors is now planning to launch a hybrid version of its most popular & cheapest car the Nano. Therefore, the world’s cheapest car may become world’s cheapest hybrid car!

India’s third largest passenger car maker, Tata Motors, said that it may launch the electric Indica in first quarter of 2011.

Tata Motor’s subsidiary Land Rover, have launched the new model named “Range Rover Model Year 2010″ in India. Ratan Tata (Chairman, Tata Motors) gave up the keys of 1st Range Rover model to Mr. Shahid Kapoor (Bollywood Star) at the ceremony of launch in Mumbai.

Tata Motors has declared consolidate loss of INR 328.78 cr in first quarter of this fiscal compared to INR 720 cr profit in the same period last fiscal. The main reason was a constant fall in sales of subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover.
