Tata Motors has announced it would close its Jamshedpur plant 2nd time due to the current global recession.

The plant would remain stopped from November 25 to 29, Mr. P J Singh (company spokesperson) said.

The same decision was taken by the Tata Motors earlier this month, when rising interest rates forced customers to delay their purchases.

This decision is the part of company’s strategy to tone production with the demand.

India’s one of major auto manufacturer, Tata Motors will partner Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to build up India’s 1st fuel-cell car, a model of which might be introduced as early as 2009. Tata Motors is decided to make 1K Nanos at their Pune plant. The dealers have to out their components for the Nano on Thursday, which will be transported to Pune within a 1 or 2 days.

Tata Motors have revealed an electric version of its Indica at SIAM annual Expo in New Delhi. Left drive car showcased is the running model with the Air Bags as a standard and is being produced in association the Norwegian partners. The new car will be launched in Norway in 2009.
