Tata Company has revealed the new eMO EV Concept (that is electric mobility concept) at the Detroit Motor show. It has the unique design with the front glass windscreen flowing to the front-passenger seat headrest along with easily foldable rear seats. Enough space is kept at the rear to keep the luggage. Tata Motors have introduced Tata Nano with array of features such as powerful gasoline engine, best fuel efficiency of 25.4 kmpl and new interiors. It will be known as the most fuel efficient petrol car of India. This car is available for purchase in the similar price as before at dealerships. The engine of this new car has been made more powerful and it delivers almost 38PS of power making the Nano a desirable car.
Having best turning radius of 4 meters, a top speed of 105 Km/h, Tata Nano is the best combination of both performance and power. The ride is very comfortable and handling is enjoyable with a revises suspension set-up. One can also find the steering mechanism easy. Booster-assisted brakes are already available in both Nano LX and CX. These brakes have also been added to the new Tata Nano Upgrade. The sales results of Tata Motors were declared yesterday and the company can heave a sigh of relief. The car sales across the country showed signs of gloom in the month of October and was the worst ever in the last ten years and even Tata Motors could not do anything to avoid it. However, the sales figures of luxury cars and commercial vehicles have not been much affected.
Tata buses and trucks hold about 60 percent of the market share. The sales of these vehicles increased by 130,126 units, or 17.7 percent, in the past one year. Although the sales of commercial vehicles are not very often in the news, their contribution to the annual growth of the company is quite significant. Auto giant Tata Motors launched the latest version of its multi-utility vehicle, Tata Sumo Gold in Pune, on Thursday. This all new Tata Sumo Gold is priced at Rs 5.23 lakh (ex-showroom price at Pune) and is available in four variants i.e. GX, EX, LX and CX. The MUV delivers 85 PS power with BS III and BS IV 3 liter diesel CR4 engine and it is also available in turbo engine. Its revamping is being done at the Bhosari plant in Pune.

Mileage of Tata Sumo Gold is claimed to be 14.07 kilometers per liter. At the launch of the revamped version of Tata Gold Sumo, R. Ramakrishnan ,VP, commercial, passenger car business unit, Tata Motors said “With 14.7 kmpl mileage, the Tata Sumo Gold is conceived and designed for the young customer looking for a stylish, new-age vehicle that is powerful and can take on any terrain with ease. When Tata bought the Land Rover, it became big news for the automobile industry. The company is all set to create waves in the Indian market when it launches Range Rover Evoque in the Indian market. The festive season has not been able to bring profits to the auto industry as expected. The industry seems to be succumbing to the pressure put by various factors like hike in the prices of fuel, expensive lending rates, high costs of inputs and labor agitation in some cases. Barring a few companies, most of the auto giants have experienced this in the past quarter.
Most of the companies reported a drastic drop in their profit levels. The companies that can be put in this list include Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors. However, some auto giants that witnessed a healthy increase in their profit levels include Mahindra & Mahindra. Hitesh Goel from the Institutional Equities said in a report that, “We expect a weak quarter for auto companies driven by the pressure of raw material cost. We expect Bajaj Auto, Hero Motocorp and M&M to report positive year-on-year earnings growth, while Ashok Leyland, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors are likely to report a decline in earnings.” Continue Reading »

Increasing prices are generally something that auto makers welcome but not in India. Recently, in the month of April there are a few Indian auto makers who were struggling for producing the great collection of cars for fulfilling the demand since sales hit successive monthly highs. Around the entire auto industry, sales of cars fell almost 16 percent in the month of July rather than the last year and 10 percent in the month of August. The companies such as Tata Motors Ltd, Skoda Auto and Hyundai Motor Co are planning to introduce a slew of cars in India this month. These companies will introduce new cars because they want to win over customers and overturn a slowdown in sales in the biggest automobile market of Asia. A few other companies like Nissan Motor Co, Daimler AG, Honda Motor Co and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd also started selling a few new cars as well as sport-utility vehicles in the month of September ahead of the Diwali season that will start in the month of October. The small car Eon will be soon introduced by Hyundai Company in the middle of this month according to Arvind Saxena, director for marketing and sales in the Hyundai Company. He also said that this car will have an 814-cubic centimeter gasoline engine. The aim behind this gasoline engine is that the Hyundai Company wants to make it the small engine capacity car model for Hyundai throughout the world. During the festive season, in a turnaround signaling an uptick in customer sentiment, two of the three leading carmakers, Tata motors and Hyundai Motor companies posted crucial sales gains in the month of September. But, with constant labor problems affecting the production, Maruti Suzuki, another leading car maker is constantly facing slowdown in their sales for the third month. Hyundai Company has recorded industry performance with almost 12.4% growth. This company has sold almost 57,808 cars against 51,444 units in year-ago period maintained by its small cars Verna, i10 and i20 sedan.
The Companies like Volkswagen, Mahindra, Toyota and GM even recorded huge sales on strong demand for their newly launched small cars. “We will launch our much awaited compact car Eon this month.
