Maruti, GM, Hero Honda & Bajaj Sales Fall Down, Yamaha Revs Up in December 2008

Maruti, the leading car manufacturer, recorded 10% fall (56,293 units), as compared to December 2007 (62, 515 units). However, compared to November 2008, it was 9 percent. Maruti sold 47,704 units in a domestic market in November’08.

Hyundai Motors has reported 49% rise in its car sales in Nov 2008, as compared to year 2007, because of high exports.
Bajaj has recorded 37 percent fall in motorcycle sales during this November’08. The company sold 1,31,681 units as compared with 2,09,876 units sold in a same month last year.
After observing sales of over 600K units in October 2008, Hero Honda Motors announced an increase of 0.49 percent in sales of two-wheelers in November 2008 at 2,89,426 units as compared with the sales figure in same month last year.
