Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the more powerful variant of Bolero called Bolero VLX CRDe. The new VLX is powered by 2.5L CRDe (Common Rail Diesel engine) generating 97hp and 255 Nm of torgue.

Kinetic Motors yesterday said that it will extend a brand license agreement with the Kinetic Engineering for utilization of “Kinetic” brand and will also sub-license their brand to the Mahindra Two Wheelers.

The deal would be extended for next 25 years with an effect from 1st April’09 and sub-licensing would as well for 25 years period.

M&M is planning to launch its MUV segment model - Mahindra Ingenio in a last quarter of 2008. The vehicle was scheduled for the launch in August but it may be on Indian roads by Jan’09. M&M has not yet announced the final date for its latest MUV.

Yesterday Mahindra & Mahindra, the Tractor Major announced that they are planning to pick up 51 percent stake in recently formed JV with Chinese firm Jiangsu Yueda Yancheng Tractor Making Co. Mahindra & Mahindra will invest around $26 million in JV, which will get Yueda’s tractor related assets and existing liabilities for a $50 million.
